Idiot Alert

The so-called "Relevant church" in Tampa's Ybor City is challenging married people to have sex every day for 30 days.  And unmarried couples to abstain for 30 days.  I truly  hope this is not speaking about members.  If you are in an unmarried relationship and it would be a challenge to abstain from sex for 30 days you are a God-forsaking sinner deluded by a bunch of pigs prostituting the power of the Gospel of Christ.

Also, what about during the woman's period?  That is a time I WILL NOT be that type of intimate with my dear wife.  Affection does not always necessitate sex.

That's interesting. Do you believe that sex within marriage should be reserved for child-bearing only (not for the sake of sharing intimacy with one's spouse) or is it just the "ick" factor?

I am not a Romanist, I do not believe sex is confined to the purpose of childbearing only.

I do not understand the "ick factor" comment. Marriage is the proper place for sex according to God's Word (For example: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous." Hebrews 13.4 ESV).

As far as the time of a woman's period- I do not believe that is a proper for sexual contact. In the Old Testament it was made clear: "If a man lies with a woman during her menstrual period and uncovers her nakedness, he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood. Both of them shall be cut off from among their people." (Leviticus 20.18 ESV)
